About Me

I am Evan Gore.
I help companies improve their training
by improving their communication skills.

I’m a talker.  I’m a word guy.  My expertise is communicating, both the simple and the complicated.  I bring a varied background to the table with Brick and Mortar Training, having stood before audiences large and small as a lecturer and teacher; as a storyteller and even a stand-up comedian.

Successful training is about more than being a good verbal communicator, it also involves understanding how to craft a message your audience will readily receive.  As a writer, I have created copy for advertising, feature film, television, storytelling, and classroom lecture.  I believe even the driest and most routine of training material can be “storified;” using the principles of storytelling to rework your message into a format that is easier for a listener to grasp, understand and retain.

As a trainer, and teacher I have been a team-building facilitator for orientation workshops at UCLA School of Business Management for Business Improv and GolinHarris ad agency for GameChangers. I spent years teaching actors to think on their feet at Chautauqua Institutions’ Special Studies Program; at The Second City and Improv Institute in Chicago; in Los Angeles at Bang Studio, and Actor’s Boot Camp; and in Florida, for the Royal Palm Players.
